But only at 1.5 kW for L1, or maybe 6 kW at L2... But even the motor in the Prius is a 50 kW motor and so during maximum REGEN it can push 50 kW into the battery. For a 5 second stop that is the same as 4 kW for a minute. Still not much. But for a half hour down hill from the ski slopes, that could be 25 kWh or a lot of juice.
