As a dog and cat cohabitant, I really like this idea, but I have to wonder --
how necessary is it? Are Teslas so attractive to thieves that you can't

is one of the best theft deterrents I know of. Most bad guys aren't that
keen to find out just how sharp those teeth are, and will look for easier
targets.

In many areas of the country, a half down window is insufficient cooling for a child or a pet. Around here, if you left a child in a car with partially lowered window, you would likely find your window broken and the child in child protective custody. And you would be greatly inconvenienced and perhaps jailed.

With "dog mode", you could well have the same trouble when some dogooder decided to break out your windows.
