I received the batteries quickly.  They were both 13.38vdc.  I did a 10 second
load test.  My resistor smoked and the voltage held.  After testing the voltage
on both batteries they were 13.35vdc.  I couldn't be happier.  However when
installing in the eGo scooter They act like dead batteries. The self test ends
with the display blacking out and the contactor doesn't engage   I get 26.7vdc
for pack voltage. I did gas the old lead batteries and had to clean out a lot
of white powder from the battery bay.   The bike works when using the charger
and the batteries charged up to 13.43vdc The bike functions, the motor lurches
forward the battery charges and the horn beeps. Turn off the charger and the
bike is dead.   I did reconnect the green wire to the center of the pack.  What
could cause this symptom? What does the green wire do?  Lawrence Rhodes

I contacted Tim from eBay and did a PayPal invoice request for two Valence 40
ah batteries.? I will report after installing them.? He says they hold over
13volts for three weeks or he won't send them out.? 99 dollars. They had 3 year
service. Seems fair to me they were used for medical carts.? Seems over kill as
they can do 80 amp bursts.? Lawrence
