Thanks! That seems to be a pretty good price. If the specs are honest, they should give about twice the usable Wh of the old 8G24/27 Deka gel batteries, at less than half the weight, and for maybe 50% more cost (though I haven't priced Dominators lately). If their cycle life claim (>3000) is accurate, those should be an outstanding value for lower power conversion EVs. > The truck's using only 0.75 Ah/mi (230 Wh/mi), which, considering its weight > and brick-like aerodynamics, is pretty darn good. Sure is! Solectria and Brusa drives have always been efficient, and Solectria did a fine job of optimizing their vehicles. It wasn't at all tough to get 160-175Wh/mi with a Force. > Our 1997 Solectria Force, incidentally, bowed out at just about the > right time [from severe structural rust]... Aargh, sorry to hear that. From what I can tell, it's been a faithful car. Twenty-two years of service! The Tesla 3 is from a totally different world. It'll be interesting to see whether it's still doing its job for you 20+ years from now. > But its EV components are living on.... I'll be curious to see what you do with them. :-) David Roden - Akron, Ohio, USA EVDL Administrator = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = EVDL Information: http://www.evdl.org/help/ = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Note: mail sent to "evpost" and "etpost" addresses will not reach me.
