Absolutely!  They've been used for milk delivery in the UK since around 
1920, if I'm not mistaken.  In recent decades they've gradually vanished, 
replaced by faster (and louder) Diesel trucks in the push for productivity, 
quick profits, and a wider range of delivered products.

It'll be interesting to see whether modern, faster electric milk floats are 
developed to replace the Diesels that replaced the older EVs.  After many 
years of losing business to supermarkets, in the last couple of years the UK 
dairies have seen a revival of interest in milk delivered in glass bottles, 
even though it costs a lot more.
