Any confidence you might have in Nissan will likely be proved to be misplaced. Are you aware that the first purchasers of Leafs were forced to bring a class action suit against Nissan because of unreliable batteries? They got scant justice. Hundreds, maybe thousands, across the South were stuck with 30-50 mile cars that RAPIDLY depreciated. When I bought my 2011 Leaf, I had hope of using it 50+k miles for ~5 years, then putting in a better, larger, cheaper battery. Bad battery Leafs are now being essentially given away. Thats because one with a good battery is worth less than the cost of a new battery.
