Hello Al,

Some solar panel control module got defective and drained the 12V battery.
Now, the module is removed and I purchased a new 12V battery. I could not
understand why I could not charge the 12 V battery, it took me some time to
find the problem.

But now that the 12V battery is fixed, I could run the NGS and find the pack in
its present state. This fall, when the alarm went off, I could not find the
cause of it. The cells were all at normal voltage, from reading CellLog8 and
NGS. So I figured the NC Lop must have been severed or one mini BMS was
faulty. I unplugged the 12V battery and let the winter pass by. But it turns
out the mini BMS must have drained the pack slowly during winter.

This is the conclusion I come to today. I still hope that I am wrong and that
something prevents the NGS and my CellLog8 reading voltages from the pack, but
can it be? I will have to drop the pack and find out.

Fortunately, I don't need the truck at this time. My 21 year old son would
love to be able to use it though.

If the pack is truly dead and cannot be revived, then I don't know what I will
do. I might just sell the truck to someone who can fix it and use it. Apart
from that problem, it is a fine truck.
