Ugly is hardly being strong enough. If were buying a car like that, I'd tell the dealer to take it to a body shop first, to fix the damage from the head on collision.

No, it's not a silly reason. If consumers keep purchasing ugly products (in 
this case automobiles), they'll keep making them, and they will continue to be 
more and more horrendous looking.

Out of respect for members here who ~love~ their _____ (fill in the blank), I 
won't mention any brands/models, but this is one of the main reasons I still 
drive a 40-year-old factory conversion instead of an OEM EV that might also 
serve my needs and be available at a reasonable price used. I refuse to look 
like a dork on the road, not buying into aggressive styling on principle is 
equally valid.
