Just a guess that it’s because you buy in small amounts. Are you shopping at the right places?
DOE and others collect this data for a variety of purposes. DOE has specific long term goals and projections, and others use the data to set policy or make investment decisions. The costs will likely continue to drop until supply becomes an issue. I’ve heard just one executive say that prices are increasing, and he proved to be less than credible in other areas.
