Presumably for automakers.  From what I can tell in casual observation, the 
typical EV today has about twice the battery capacity that it had in 2012, 
without markedly higher (inflation corrected) vehicle prices.

I would guess that lower battery costs are at least in part a result of 
economies of scale.  That's happened because sales of EVs have increased 
markedly, especially in Europe.  Surprise!  Incentives work.

Do any major European or US automakers use Calb, or for that matter, any 
other brand of LiFePO4 batteries?  Who or what exactly does use LiFePO4?
