I suppose that is possible but I never observed that is the brands I have tested.they always settled to 3.38v. I so no variation. I ran then in a vehicle for 6 months. Never varied in the slightest. Very stable and predictable performance. My experience is limited to a few brands but Physics is what determines the voltage of a cell. I think those yellow cells, I can’t remember the brand at the moment, had a higher voltage because they had Yttrium in them. Unless you change the chemistry they will be the same voltage
