Are you thinking that the hero is in its own simulation? We could imagine that the Theory of Everything is given by a Schroedinger-Dirac like equation applied to the quantum vacuum. Then we can interpret the work of the hero as a dovetailing on the solutions of that equation. It would build a quantum multiverse. Yet, that cannot work. And Telmo gave the reason. If we are machine (and we are machine if the hero's emulator can start), then physics is a sum on a continuum of computational histories, and nobody can write a program simulating that. Only a person, being generated almost everywhere omega times, in the deployment can "live" that, from inside. (for some others: omega is aleph_0, the continuum = 2^aleph_0).
