Will they have time or will they fall victim to the great extinction event that we have been causing (the extinction rate is currently 10,000 times the background level, and this is due to human factors). The ocean webs of life are collapsing across the globe n a most stark and alarming manner -- again thanks to our species. By the time we go over the Oduvai cliff (as the Doomerist hypothesis has us doing quite soon) how many life forms we we be taking with us over the edge and into extinction?
