Yes, sorry, I wasn't being very clear there. Of course all theories have to be tested empirically. I meant that I have to discuss the theory in terms of materialist types of experiments - as for example one might discuss whether the Higgs boson has been found, given certain experimental results (rather than whether physics can be derived from consciousness). Also I felt a bit embarassed because I did make a decision not to mention comp, because I don't yet feel qualified to discuss any other theories in terms of comp. And I felt that I was letting you down by being in that position.
