So the bat reference does it for you? The original is indeed funny. Why you
pull it up, I don't know. I don't see how this is appropriate.

There is no rational reply to blanket fear and threats of violence. Have
you found one? Please share.

Rationally so, correct.

Again the warped perspective: the democratic party is moderately on
political right in the US. If you left your chickenhawkcoop, once in
awhile, or dare I say, move so far away from it that you might actually
encounter real people practicing Islam without military aid, which most of
them are, then you'd see that I'm not fudging.

I love chocolate fudge though.

This is rational to you. Ok, it is noted, as before. And as before, so
what? We heard you, so how many times do you want to jam it down the throat
of everybody?

This is serious geo-political strategy according to Spud? Please.

BTW Hunter S. Thompson did write one last book called "The Kingdom of
Fear", so I guess your pulling of the quote might be relevant after all. I
pick two, to not spam you, + apologies if/when I have.

1) “I don't mean to say that I'm about to state my credo here on this page,
but merely to affirm, sincerely for the first time in my life, my belief in
man as an individual and independent entity. Certainly not independence in
the everyday sense of the word, but pertaining to a freedom and mobility of
thought that few people are able - or even have the courage - to achieve.”

A good question would be to ask where he sees and does not see this freedom:

2) “Coming of age in a fascist police state will not be a barrel of fun for
anybody, much less for people like me, who are not inclined to suffer Nazis
gladly and feel only contempt for the cowardly flag-suckers who would
gladly give up their outdated freedom to *live* for the mess of pottage
they have been conned into believing will be freedom from fear.”

Hunter ate chickenhawk for breakfast.

It's clear that I was wrong and that your quote was indeed appropriate
Spud. Well done and thank you! PGC
