On the "puzzle" you set us Alberto, ooh ooh, let me try! Gay marriage is anti-human
because two people of the same sex can't reproduce so sanctioning the marriage of a
reproductively unproductive couple would be "anti-human"? No wait on, that doesn't make
sense, because they can't reproduce even if they're not married, right? OK, let me try
again. Is it because gays aren't human and are in fact some other species implacably
opposed to "us", the heterosexual majority? But no that doesn't seem quite right,
because gays do have babies sometimes and the babies are frequently heterosexual and
therefore human. Ipso facto, they (the gay parents) must belong to our species. OK, so
is it because, as Liz suggests, "it is an abomination for a man to lie with a man"
according to a very old book of tribal Jewish customs? Well, even if there is some big
dude in the sky with a super thin skin when it comes to people not obeying his pedantic
irrational strictures, it still doesn't quite seem to make gay marriage "anti-human"
does it? Hmm, I'm running out of ideas here. Maybe the puzzle really is "too hard" for
me. Oh wait on... is it because due to extensive childhood environmental conditioning
you have imbibed holus bolus from your peers and elders an irrational, emotively based
aversion to homosexuality based on the same anxiety about difference that fuels racism
and discrimination against the disabled and that this deep-seated emotional knee-jerk
reaction continues to cloud your rational mind, making it difficult for you to perceive
people different from yourself with understanding, tolerance and compassion and causing
you, without realizing it, to erroneously project your own sexual and other anxieties
onto gay people, whose aspirations to have their loving relationships legitimized in law
you can only perceive through the dung-coloured glasses of your own projections and
which you therefore judge to be "anti-human", even provoking such violent reactions in
you that you feel the need to come onto internet fora where you suspect "progressives"
might be hanging out in order to see if you can provoke a reaction which will allow you
to vent your frustrations and unhappiness against the types of people you've been
conditioned to see as to blame for everything? Oh right, that must be it.
WHAT!? You mean Alberto's *not* gay? I thought that's how he knew they were
anti-human.
