You seem to accept my point -- there is still only one mind even
after different data are fed to the copies: one mind in two bodies
in this case (a one-many relationship).
Which is empirically supported by neurological studies that indicate
the brain consists of "modules" each of which has "a mind of it's
own."
Yes. Incidentally that is well illustrated in the report of experience
with dissociative drugs (ketamine, salvia, etc.)
If we think about engineering an autonomous being it becomes
obvious that this is a good architecture. Decision making should
be hierarchical with only a few requiring system-wide
consideration. With RF communication this autonomous being could
easily "be"in both Moscow and Washington.
I agree. Of course this does not change the step 3 conclusion if that
is needed to say. There is just no RF communication available, and the
differentiation of the first person experience follows from the fact
that computationalisme and the rightness of the substitution level
make the two copies one and entire in different cities.
Some people add complexity in talking about person and/or
consciousness, instead of local immediate first person experience,
which is about what the indeterminacy is evaluated.
I guess you are OK with this.
