That is Everett.

But too keep unitarity, that makes our path just a path among many paths.

That does not follow. The guy in Washington see only one city, but we know, and 
he knows that the guy in Moscow also see one city. The doppelgänger does not 
disappear in this case, nor in the universal wave of Everett. To say there is 
only one world because we see only one world is akin to a form of (cosmic) 
solipsisme.
