Measurement can be fully described by local interactions, so it's compatible with the entire system comprising of measured system plus observer, being completely isolated.

In a completely isolated system it can only be a mixed state FAPP unless there is non-unitary evolution.

Is not the physical universe (assuming that exists) completely isolated?  If you were right, there would be no quantum mechanics. You lost me here.

MWI gets around this by saying there are multiple worlds...but only FAPP.  Other interpretations like the transactional interpretations say there is non-unitary evolution.
