Of course I would not object! If I sincerely believe that the world will become a better place if the government spends money on project X even if you consider the fact that all projects have a cost then I would do everything within my power (which isn't much) to make project X happen. But then why the hell do you call such a benevolent thing a "bribe"? A bribe implies something that is sinister, underhanded and shameful, this is none of those things, the world would be a far worse place if such "bribes" did not occur. If you insist on using that word then you're going to have to invent a new word for the old meaning of the word "bribe" because the English language needs such a word if it wishes to describe the world. *> So is this Trumpkin so awful now?* > Yes.
