Note that the particular email I was referencing in my message was
received by my IMAP server: no MAPI backend involved.  And, I'm pretty
sure that the email was generated from a webmail client, not lookOut!

This one looks EXACTLY like my problem.  I'll try this patch to see if
it helps.
