But we all agree, that you can hardly iron aout a bug, you can't
reproduce. Let's try it. Watch every little detail, that may cause it.

No, you really do not. But I could see the extra blank lines appearing
in you last post. So I checked the mail source and there is a additional
<pre> tag, that was _not_ there with correct sig.
Seems, like there is a flaw i the composer.
I suspect, an additional newline after the last typed words. Can you
verify that by writing mails to yourself?
The code in question:
<PRE><TABLE CELLSPACING="0" CELLPADDING="0" WIDTH="100%">
<TR>
<TD>
Lane<BR>
<FONT COLOR="#0000f8"><BR>
Lane P. Lester / Madison County, Georgia</FONT><BR>
<FONT COLOR="#008000">Using Linux more and Windows less</FONT>
</TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>
</PRE>
It is displayed correct without the <pre> tag. The text/plain version in
the mail is correct too.
What is the paragraph style of your last paragraph? The <pre> tag
indicates 'preformat' instead of 'normal'. Check that too.
btw: That code is displayed correct in mozilla, even with the <pre> tag.
A display bug in gtkhtml?
Lane: You can change that sig code to the tags, you really need. Just
get all the <table> tags out (including <tr>, <td> and the closing
ones).
