I just checked it with mozilla. Even with the <pre> tag there are no
additional newlines, but the text is monospaced typewriter font, as one
could expect.

The text even is in courier font, not sans-serif, as you never defined a
font face. I assume, that is not, what you intended?


btw: As this is the first HTML eMail client you ever used, are you sure
you need/want it? Plain text is the way a mail wants to be... ;-)
