Alternately, when the type the name in the "To:" box and the autocomplete list of names pops up, the can simply arrow down and hit the delete key for that address. Then Outlook will have to resolve that name to what is in the GAL again and this time it won't bounce.
I'm assuming Outlook2k or XP.
