Are these Spam messages by any chance that were HTML content?

We have seen this behavior on certain spam messages with HTML content
since
sometime in Exchange 2000. The only solution we've found (as they are
junk
mail anyway) is the CTRL-Delete.

Subject: Can not delete "SOME" messages in Outlook

I have a situation where some of my users can not delete some pieces of
email from their Outlook clients. Such mails can not be moved to another
folder either. The clients range from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2002, some
patched, some not. While some messages can't be deleted or moved, other
messages in the same inbox/client can be moved or deleted or whatever
w/o
any problem.

These messages can be Shift-Deleted without any problem and they can be
deleted in OWA. If the user "Forwards" that same problematic message to
himself/herself, then the newly fowarded message does NOT exhibit the
same
problem as the original message - it is deletable and movable.

Well, I've been able to get away with telling the users to just use
shift-delete till now. now, a C-level user is having the same problem
and
want to know "WHY", as in a documentation or explanation from an
authoritative source. My interpretation of this is just to see that the
problem is "not on our side".

Does anyone know where such documentation or explanation can be found. I
know I can call PSS, but I thought I'd ask the Gurus in the field first.

Thanks for all contributions.
