Unfortunately management will not allow us to keep an NT BDC in place and the old NT 4.0 domain needs to go away.
Looks like we will use a PDC emulator. I can only hope that they allow us to migrate to Exchange 2003 soon. Thanks all for your suggestions! After much googling, I'm can't find much about moving a Exchange 5.5 server to an AD domain without a Exchange 2000/2003 migration involved. I feel by us doing this we are going to be creating double the amount of work for ourselves just to get rid of an NT4.0 domain before we are allowed to migrate to E2K. Anybody have any ideas on what problems we might encounter and/or make for ourselves and the level of effort involved?
