Sure. It's pretty comparable to VMWare Workstation. Works fairly well, but will thrash your disk pretty good.
While VMWare may be better, VPC is certainly less expensive. And for the record, last time I put VMWare on my PC, it locked it up to the point I couldn't even login, even without a VM session running. I'm not too keen on trying VMWare again any time soon.
