No argument from an engineering standpoint... well there's plenty of room to argue about how one might configure such a beast and what the scalability and cost per CPU of such a configuration might be. But from a /can/ it be done standpoint the answer is certainly yes.
Once you move beyond an engineering discussion one must consider it's a. unsupported and b. unproven. Given the mission critical nature of Exchange, either of those ought to give one considerable pause from a business, process management and supportability perspective. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Stephens, Tara Posted At: Tuesday, May 18, 2004 12:27 PM Posted To: swynk Conversation: Engineering argument Subject: Engineering argument Our engineering guys (who have no email experience at all) are trying to make the argument that we should move our Exchange environment to Vmware. I know that Vmware is good for test labs, but has anyone run it in production? Their website says that it works with Exchange, but they want to sell their product. Please let me know if you have any horror stories or fairy tales about that configuration. Thanks.
