I don't believe there's an RFC that requires it, but more and more places
are getting fed up with spam and using this as one method of trying to
reduce it.. personally I'm not sure it works as most dynamic dialup pools
still have reverse DNS so it doesn't really prove much.

Personally if you can get it in place I would do so as rightly or wrongly it
will happen more and more..
