Paul and my suggestion is the answer, I know SBC does the HELO/rDNS check.
Look at what your HELO is. Look at the rDNS for your public IP address for your sending server. They need to match. If you are using Exch 2003 you can set exchange to issue the HELO as anything you want. The setting is 'masquerade domain' it is a buried setting on the properties of your SMTP connector then the delivery tab then advanced. If you have 5.5 get your ISP to fix the rDNS to match as changing it in 5.5 is a pain. I do not know how it is done in Exchange 2000.
