What is the scenario that you are changing from Exchange 5.5? Is this a migration? A migration between two servers that are connected in the same Exchange org? No connection and two different domains?
In most cases moving mailboxes between two servers that are in the same organisation is very easy. As long as the two servers are both alive, when Outlook connects to the old server it will automatically redirect to the new server. Magic. No utility required. However if it is separate domains then it becomes a lot more complex.
