If I were in your place, I'd just move users to another server, just for
sanity reasons. Then I'd whack the information store databases on the old
server, create new ones, and then move everyone back.

I've come in this morning and last nights online backup went fine with no
errors reported, as did the online maintenance.. can I read anything into
this?

The thing that's got me in two minds is Toms link that mentions Trend
Scanmail - it might just be coincidence but it seems a coincidence that
we're running that and that that error occurs twice totally out of the
blue.. but I'm not knowledgeable enough about Exchange database internals to
know if that means anything?
