Tony, There are tons of tools out there for restricting what users can/can't install on their desktop. The best way to start out with is to make sure they don't have more permissions than they need. Thus, users running as local administrators is a Bad Thing(TM). Depending on if you are still running 98/Me clients or 2K/XP clients, the strategies differ, but a good place to start off with is build a group policy object that restricts installations. If you are still using a NT4 domain, you could use poledit to create a template file to use against your users.
