Are you talking about duplicate accounts because you have mailboxes defined
for the same users in both Domino and Exchange? In any case, if you're
seeing duplicate accounts, you haven't set up things properly or you have
duplicate data.

Subject: Notes 5 to Exchange 2003 Migration

Hi All,
I posted about this a while ago and got a bit of useful information, however
upon attempting this migration, one main problem comes to mind.

Currently we have a Windows 2003 AD / NT4 domain in mixed mode which is
working fine, we also have a Notes server, with its directory populated with
user accounts and such.

Most of the stuff I have found on the MS site suggests that directory
replication is necessary for this whole interoperability scenario to work,
however if we do that, then we end up with a whole lot of duplicate accounts
from Domino in AD and from AD in Domino.

Secondly the mailboxes, once moved, will be associated with the doubled up
accounts in AD, not the accounts that users currently log on with. If this
method is to be used, then we need some way to say to the current AD account
for the users, that their primary mailbox is the ones that are associated
with the dud active directory accounts.

Lastly, the documentation I have from MS is very vague, and I am sure there
are documents that go into much further detail about exactly what buttons to
click and settings to fill.

Currently we have replicated the Domino directory into AD in a seperate OU
to keep them away from the primary user accounts, this part worked fine, but
we are unsure how to proceed from there. There is currently no replication
from AD to Domino.

If anyone could shed some light on how we should go about this process, it
would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Luke
