>From what server is Outlook trying to retrieve data? That might provide a
clue if you're running more than one DC and Exchange server.

The first thing to try is to refresh the profile because Outlook can get
stuck on a nonexistent public folder server. Go into the profile settings,
delete the last letter of the name and click Check Names.

Please note, however, that this dialog can almost literally be caused by
anything in the data path between Outlook and the server's storage system.

Subject: Outlook hangs since converting to Exchange 2003

Greetings all forums,

I do not know if this is an Outlook 2003 issue or and Exchange 2003 issue so
I am writing all of you.

We are currently Exchange 2003 SP1. We have Outlook 2003, Outlook 2002,
Outlook 2000 and Outlook 98 users. Every since we moved all of our
mailboxes to Exchange 2003 the Outlook 2003 users seem to have hanging
problems. A pop up message comes up saying: Outlook is requesting data from
the server Or Outlook is trying to retrieve data from

I have looked on the KB and have not been able to determine anything
further.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mike Mitchell
