Ok, bear with me, this is complicated. Getting:
"You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator. <mail.elyriaschools.org #5.7.1 smtp;550 5.7.1 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... Relaying denied. Proper authentication required.>" Two domains same forest, not parent/child. Domain1 is being shut down. All the users, computers, server and exchange have been moved to Domain2. 2003 domain, 2003 exchange. In a pre-test of decommissioning domain1 I shut down the two remaining DC's for that domain, just shut them off to see what would beak. The above unable to relay message is what I broke. Exchange was originally in domain1, the domain being shut down. Looking at the SMTP Virtual Server I see authenticated users for domain2, those unable to relay, as having submit permissions, but not relay permissions. I am hesitant to change that since as long as I bring domain1 DC back up they can send to the outside world. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
