We're planning on migrating to a better SMTP gateway (I won't get into how we got the crummy ones that we currently have). Most likely, the solution will be an appliance (because my company likes appliances).
We are an Exchange 2003 shop of approximately 2000 people. We process approximately 3-4 GB of mail /day. The ones that we are considering are (no specific order on these): 1)Sendmail Sentrion which runs Sendmail (obviously) on Linux - Hardware is a Dell Started our evaluation and we like it a lot. The GUI that they've developed is very easy to navigate and appears to have a lot of flexibility. The config file is also editable right through the GUI if necessary. So far, our testing is going very well. 2) Iron mail S class (not to be confused with Iron port) - Haven't evaluated it, yet. 3) A Linux machine built in-house with Sendmail on it. (I'm reluctant to go this direction due to my group's lack of knowledge of Linux and my lack of knowledge on good old sendmail. Thanks for all of the opinions. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
