Ok, so, according to MS Exchange, the message(s) is/are being delivered
(though delayed), but the user doesn't see it. A couple of things to
check. Some of these are obvious and oyu have likely checked them, but
I wll ask anyway.

1) Is this user logging into the right mailbox? In short, is the
mailbox they are logging into their primary mailbox? If not, have them
try it where they are. What I have seen is that if their mailbox is the
secondary mailbox, and the messages being sent to their mailbox are
marked private then they might not see the emails.

2) Assuming they are logged into their primary mailbox are their rules
or is there an alternate delivery point involved (ie PST, another
mailbox, etc.).

3) Could there be a second mailbox with this user's name on it? A
duplicate for all intents and purposes.

4) Have you tried moving their mailbox to another store to see if things
straighten out?

Nate,

I've ran a message trace and it says that the message was delivered.
The only thing I noticed is that the time stamp on the Exchange side is
like 30 some mins different then the time stamp of the actual message
sent out. I know this because one of the users who received the message
forwarded to the user in question.

Outlook is running live mode.

Thanks,

John B.

1) If you run a message trace do you see the messag4es going to the
users mailbox?

2) do your users use Outlook in cache mode or live mode?

All,

I'm having a few weird instances of email showing on Exchange that it
was delivered but when you go to the users mailbox it doesn't show up in
the inbox. I've checked to see if this person has any rules that might
be delivering the email elsewhere, but to no avail. The Outlook clients
are not in cache mode either.

We are using an Exchange 2K3 cluster (active/passive) and the email was
destined to a local recipient.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

John B.
