I've worked out that it is probably down to the way mailsweeper is configured or some other rule in which the ISP requires the reply email address to contain @remploy.co.uk when sending external email. It worked fine when I spoofed the reply to address as a remploy one so it should work as expected if there weren't these other hurdles.
Unfortunately I have no control over the *nix gateway server or the ISP end with mailsweeper because I am only a contractor to do an exchange migration. Message tracking is not currently enabled and changes like this require change request forms being filled out so it was rather difficult to diagnose but I think I am there. For what I will use contacts for I can prove it works, basically to send certain email users to a subdomain of remploy which essentially could be a separate system to exchange with a view to replace the unix gateway they are using. Thanks for help anyway Cheers -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chris Scharff Sent: 02 January 2007 17:19 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Using contacts to forward emails externally.
