Steps 3 and 4 are redundant. You do one or the other, or neither. The Exchange 
tool is just the Outlook tool with a bat file that logs on to each mailbox and 
runs the Outlook tool.

Seriously consider not doing neither. Alert your users to the issue, tell them 
to fix their own appointments and put the time in the subject of the 
appointment for easy reference. The Exchange/Outlook tool is moving 
appointments incorrectly in many cases, and it does it en-mass and you have no 
real way to back out. I have seen and heard of many many reports of this and 
had it happen to 89 of my users. I would give my right arm to be able to go 
back and have not used the Exchange tool.

If your users do it themselves they see what is happening and can adapt.
