Subject: RE: outlook 2003 rules partially working

The rule basically says "when messages arrive" check to see if the word
'spam' is in the subject. If it is, move the email to the folder called
'spam'.

When I run the rule manually, it works as it should. It just does not
work
automatically.

In outlook, I just went to the rules wizard. How do I know it's a server
rule?

Thanks

What does the rule do? Only a small subset of actions will run
"automatically" which I understand you to mean server-side.

Subject: outlook 2003 rules partially working

We have one user with the following problem: I setup a rule for his in
outlook to check emails with the subject containing the words "spam
alert"
Our Anti spam software inserts these words. The rule gets created, runs
perfectly manually--darn thing does not run automatically.

I would love to think I have done something wrong but I have done this
for
other users probably hundreds of times w/o a problem.

I deleted and recreated it half dozen times, still nothing. I did google
searches and it seems some people are having this problem although I did
not
find a solution as of yet.

Any help

TIA
