All,

Windows Server 2000 SP4, Exchange 2003 SP2, Outlook XP/2003.

I am getting a developer to extract contacts and distribution lists from
an SQL database to AD. All the contacts and distribution lists are
flagged in the database as belonging to certain business units within
our organisation. Contact and DL association with each of the business
units is not mutually exclusive.

I know it's possible to create an OU for each of our business units and
then include all the DL's and contacts associated with that unit in that
OU? Is it possible to display the contents of the OU as a public folder
contacts list or include it in an address book displayed in the "show
names from:" within Outlook?

Any other approached would be gratefully received.

I need to let the developer know how to sort, what format, and where to
drop the extract from the database in AD.

TIA

-Mark
