Thank you, Chris. I followed your advice (though I'm not OP), and it solved
a nagging little problem for me. Specifically this article: "Find feature
and the new mail notifications do not work after you apply Windows XP
Service Pack 2" at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839226
In spite of what the title says, it's primarily about how Outlook 2k and 2k2
polls (or fails to poll) Exchange for new mail. Yeah, it's all about UDP

New mail notifications when not in cached mode are delivered via UDP. A
Google search for "Outlook UDP new mail notification" will likely yield
positive results.

That's the answer. I get e-mail on my Windows Mobile 6 device before
they
show up in cached mode Outlook as well. It's only a few seconds,
though.

I'm trying to find out right now. What would be the solution if the same
thing happens in online mode as well?

Does the user have Outlook running in cached mode? If so -- does the
same
thing happen in Online mode?

Hi,
I have a user who complains that he get emails on his Blackberry
before
his Outlook.
He claims that sometimes he sees items in his Inbox, but no unread
e-mails. Then if he scrolls down, the e-mails appear. Sometimes they
appear to have been received prior to e-mails already read.
We're running EXCH 2003 SP2.
Any ideas?
TIA
Alex
