Sorry Michael. I didn't see your post and I still don't. I guess there was a confusion in the forum address to which I had posted. My first post was post was to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> and I couldn't see any response from this address since 15/05/2013. So I tried [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. Can you please post reply once again? Thank you.

From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Liby Philip Mathew Sent: Sunday, February 9, 2014 12:42 AM To: Admin Issues ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>) Subject: [Exchange] E2K10 SP1 to SP3 2-node DAG upgrade Hi, I am planning to upgrade my E2K10 SP1 to SP3. I have a 2 node DAG with all roles except EDGE & UM installed and published over ISA 2006. EDGE role is installed on a server in DMZ which is E2K7. Do I really need to run the StartDAGServerMaintenance.ps1? My understanding is, StartDAGServerMaintenance.ps1 is needed to run only if I require zero downtime. Please correct me if I am wrong. I don't mind 2-3 hours of down time for upgrading. Moreover, it is a 2 node DAG and since there is no CAS redundancy the DB will not be available during the upgrade. So does it really matter to run the DAG maintenance script? Is there any specific order or procedure that I should take care in the above 2 node scenario? Any hidden issues or gotcha that I need to take care while upgrading? Node1 ServerRole Mailbox, Client Access, Hub Transport AdminDisplayVersion Version 14.1 (Build 218.15) Node2 ServerRole Mailbox, ClientAccess, HubTransport AdminDisplayVersion Version 14.1 (Build 218.15) Edge ServerRole Edge AdminDisplayVersion Version 8.2 (Build 176.0) Thank in advance.
