Awesome. This actually is useful in a bizarre way (I get to postpone a discovery request due to technical issues).
I'll just slowly get around to putting E15sp1 in play. Thanks Mr. MBS. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michael B. You've updated your AD for E15, but you never actually installed an E15 server. Once you update the AD, SOME THINGS require E15. You've hit one of them. So.... If you are feeling confident, you can update the mailbox version using ADSIedit. It'll probably work. Maybe not. The supported solution is to install an E15 MB server and use it. But still doesn't make those arbitration mailboxes work, they complain about enablement: [PS] C:\Windows\system32>enable-mailbox -arbitration "DiscoverySearchMailbox {D919BA05-46A6-415f-80AD-7E09334BB852}" The object is read-only because it was created in a version of Exchange later than Exchange 1.1 (15.0.0.0). Current sup ported version is 1.0 (14.0.0.0). + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (0:Int32) [Enable-Mailbox], InvalidObjectOperationException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 91CD51D6,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.RecipientTasks.EnableMailbox I'm going to presume they now have a property that needs manually changed to make them 'exch2010' again? At least the objects are there again. 8^) -Rick From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michael B. System is exch2010, an exchange 2013 existed then was removed again and never migrated to. Can't rebuild those mailboxes via /prepareAD because: Setup encountered a problem while validating the state of Active Directory: The Active Directory organization configuration version (15614) is higher than Setup's version(12640). Therefore, PrepareAD can't be executed. Any thoughts on a workaround before I invoke PSS? -Rick
