A new feature is available that enables Outlook 2007 to use DNS Service Location (SRV) records to locate the Exchange Autodiscover service:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940881/en-us

Excra is testing from the outside. I don't see how this is resolving if Excra can't find it either?

Susan Bradley
Still migrating the msmvps.com blogs but we're getting closer.
blogs.msmvps.com/bradley is the new url and redirects are in place
Have I mentioned how much migrations are REALLY painful?

not sure I understood the q,
Hoster has autodiscover.domain.com published and it DOES resolve from outside, it just fails ExCra testing,
internally autodiscover.domain.com doesnt resolve (w2k8 DNS server)
