It also comes back to security, which was important to us. As I said
earlier, we had password changing issues, where Netware has a different
encryption method than MS, so if your NDS password expired, you weren't able
to change your MS one unless you were also logging into the domain. Of
course there are ways around this, (i) escape past the 32-bit client login,
(ii) use both domain and NDS authentication, or (iii) use 3rd party utils
like Netvisions' Synchronicity for NT or Novell's NDS for NT. We went down
the Synchronicity route, but could never get it working properly which went
down like a cup of cold sick with some people.

Looking back tho', I'm with Rocky, Netware environment should have a Netware
solution...altho' in saying that the only issues we have had is the password
problem and additional investment in hardware.

Rgds,
Leeann

Sorry about the brain burn on the Novell topic. Mine is smoking now too.
Trying to build a case for recommending them into MS territory but it is
hard; being that the price of the software is not too much an issue when
they are academic and the cost is minimal when it comes to their discounts.
It is mainly consulting time for deployment and ease of administering.
