This is all pretty irrelevant to the initial post isn't it? Yes, Microsoft has some serious security issues.[1] I'm sure Nathan agrees that still doesn't excuse an administrator from due diligence in applying fixes or securing machines which is where this thread really began... and should have died. *sigh*
