IT all depends on the size of the org.

We're doing a fairly aggressive design and pilot that's about 3-4 months
soup to nuts for just AD. We have a fairly convoluted NT organization, and
are very geographically diverse, but only have about 4000 users total. We
have engaged two professional services organizations to facilitate the
design process.

E2k is on the radar, but its still a ways off.

Its interesting to note that we as an org are used to incredibly short
timelines, so its less outrageous to us than to a lot of orgs.
