We are running Exchange 5.5/SP4+3 on Win2k/SP2 O/S. We have clients using Outlook 97/98/2000/XP. The only ones that seem to notice a delay in opening their mail are the OutlookXP clients. We are running NAV CE V7.61.928 with scan engine 4.1.0.15 on the desktops. We are running NAV MSE V2.1 (Build 59) on the Exchange Mailbox servers and we are scanning all e-mail as it comes into the mailbox. To address Peter's comments, I'm having this problem on my laptop running WinXP/OfficeXP and after checking, found that my outcmd.dat file is still 5k in size. Solutions? I've noticed here that the file \Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat, which starts out life at around 5k in size, can work itself up to 1MB and beyond, causing messages to open extremely slowly.
